Siehui Electric and Tsinghua Hebei Research Institute Inaugurate "Long-Duration Energy Storage Technology R&D Center"
On the morning of July 3, 2025, the unveiling ceremony for the "Long-Duration Energy Storage Technology R&D Center" was held. The center is a joint initiative between Hebei Siehui Electric Co., Ltd. and the Tsinghua University Hebei Development Research Institute, marking the official launch of their in-depth collaboration in the field of energy storage technology. Zhang Xuhui, Chairman of Siehui Electric, and Zhang Jun, Vice Dean of the Tsinghua Hebei Research Institute, jointly unveiled the new R&D center. Key personnel and all members of the research and development teams from both parties attended the ceremony.
The R&D center will focus on overcoming key challenges in long-duration energy storage technology. It aims to create a high-level collaborative innovation platform for industry, academia, and research by combining Siehui Electric's industrial strengths in power electronics and energy system integration with the robust technical R&D capabilities and talent resources of the Tsinghua University Hebei Development Research Institute and Tsinghua University. In the future, the center will prioritize research in the field of long-duration energy storage, promoting the transformation of technological achievements into practical industrial applications.
This inauguration represents a deeper implementation of the university-enterprise cooperation model and is expected to inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the regional new energy industry, supporting China's national "Dual Carbon" strategic goals.
